Okay, so they call it the “Family Directory”, but given everyone who advertises in Parent Map, it’s a resource worth having. And you can’t beat the price of free. Get thee down to your nearest Parent Map location (children’s stores, Ikea , Seattle Public Libraries) and grab a copy to find the pull-out insert chock-full of good info. You’ll find listings of area events by season, birthday locations, and information on childcare, counseling for families, and area schools. Plus, the cover story on arts events for kids this fall is worth the read.
And to back up a moment for those who don’t know, Parent Map is a free monthly parenting publication, complete with a monthly event calendar and helpful articles on a variety of things in our various Seattle neighborhoods, for ages ranging from newborn to teens. You can find them online at http://www.parentmap.com.
