Weren’t we just having mid-Winter break?
Anyways, Whirligig! starts Saturday. You know, the inflatable-bouncy-thing festival in Seattle Center? Expect Balloon animals, face painting, tons of inflatable places for kids to get their energy out, and large crowds (After all, it’s almost Spring Break for all those Seattle Public School kids!). While I’m not seeing official mention of the option this year, last year there was a separate section just for the toddler/preschooler crowd. If you want to check out the carnival-type atmosphere, head on down to the Center House. There’s a seven dollar fee most days ($4.00 for toddlers), and Thursdays are free.
The Spring-Break factor (from April 9th – 13th) means most kid-friendly places about town (zoo, aquarium, etc.) will see a spike in their crowd levels. Not a big deal if you know to expect it, but overwhelming if it broadsides you.

Edited because my brain was on Spring Break. Go to Whirligig over the next week before the big crowds are there!
