O Tannembaum, O Tannembaum!

Door 3 | December 3rd |  If you managed to resist Ikea’s rent-a-tree program, it’s time to hit the tree farm today!  Check out the Puget Sound Christmas Tree Association website, find a farm near you, and pack a thermos of cocoa or hot cidar for the trip!  U-Cut Christmas Tree Farms provide a hand saw and a variety of trees (and prices) to choose from.  Kids love getting to pick the tree (but make sure you measure first, as I know I love to find trees bigger than our home can manage!), it’s great to get some time together outside, and the local farms are happy to have your buisiness.  If you’re not up for cutting your own, look for a farm that offers assistance.  And if you don’t have room for a tree but want the smell of fresh pine for the holidays, fresh garlands, wreaths, and other holiday decor are available at many stops.  Some even have Santa and Mrs. Claus, and free hot drinks to keep your hands warm.
