Track Santa on the Web

Door 24 | December 24th | NORAD will be continuing it’s annual tradition of tracking St. Nick’s progress from the North Pole. It all began with a misprint in the 1955 Sears Roebuck Catalogue — their Santa Hotline number was instead the number for the Central Air Defense’s Commander-in-Chief. When a child called, director of opperations Colonel Harry Shoup answered. From their website: “Realizing what had happened, Colonel Shoup had his staff check radar data to see if there was any indication of Santa making his way south from the North Pole. Indeed there were signs of Santa and children who called were given an update on Santa’s position.” The tradition has continued ever since.

From the website, kids can send an email Santa’s way, view footage of Santa on the international space station and other spots around the world, and even watch live tracking of Santa’s progress tonight. Merry Christmas to you all, and sweet dreams tonight!
