Color me Mine! Mine! No mine!

Let me fess up — I worried that two would be a bit young for time at Color Me Mine, the franchise of paint your own pre-made pottery studios (we hit the one on top of Queen Anne Hill).   However, once I gave up on brushes and let Moon get in touch with her inner fingerpainter, all was well.

The glazes used are all water soluable, the staff was very helpful, and the finishing touch of Moon’s handprint means that the grandparent’s will have some unique coffee mugs (not to mention, memories of the whole experience).  I don’t recommend wearing a dry clean only anything into the shop, but I do recommend taking a bit of time to let your child explore colors and textures at a store like this.  There’s just something facinating about art by someone who is all about the process, not the product.
