Wondering what to do with a Saturday in Seattle?

Family Fun Fest | Seattle New Holly Campus will be hosting a BBQ with games, free haircuts for kids, and free backpacks to school-age kids in need. So, if you weren’t a family who could donate, you may be a family in need? 11am – 3pm, 2820 South Myrtle. FREE.

Snow Leopard Day | Woodland Park Zoo’s First Annual Snow Leopard Day promises face painting, special snow leopard education opportunities, traditional Mongolian music, and even puppet shows in Zoomazium. The event goes from 9:30am – 3pm, Woodland Park Zoo. Most activities free with zoo admission (there’s mention of “selling local products to help the Snow Leopards”).

Rainier Valley Heritage Parade | Neighborhood parade, followed by a selection of local restaurants providing a “Bite of Rainier Valley” ($2.00/bite) and celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Columbia City. And who doesn’t love a parade? 11am – 1pmish, the Parade winds between S. Dawson and S. Alaska streets, with the bite festivities happening on S. Ferdinand. Parade is FREE.

Tottini Sale | Some items marked down to 50% off, and the sale runs from 10am – 6pm (store hours) today, and 11am – 5pm tomorrow. Maybe now’s the time to splurge on that incredibly hip but priced-accordingly bit of furniture for the wee one? 259 Yale Avenue N, Free until you buy something.
