Firefighters bring Selves and Engines to Storytimes in Seattle.

Firefighter Story Time at the Central BranchThat’s right, the annual pilgrimage of firefighters (and their engines) to our local libraries is beginning (it’s Fire Prevention Month, who knew?). Here are the stops where you’ll be able to hear firefighters read stories about fire safety and chance to ask all those, ah, burning questions. (Photo from Mayor Nickels ’04 Newsletter).

Wednesday, October 10th (Rainier Beach Branch, South Seattle): 10:30am – 11:15am

Thursday, October 11th (High Point Branch, West Seattle): 10:30am – 11:15am

Friday, October 12th (Columbia Branch, Columbia City): 10:30am – 11:15am

Wednesday, October 17th (North East Branch, Ravenna/Laurelhurst): 10:30am – 11:15am

Thursday, October 18th (Central Library, Downtown): 10:30am – 11:15am (Note that with the downtown location, there is no mention of an engine at this one. Just “some of their safety equiptment”)

Wednesday, October 24th (West Seattle Branch, West Seattle): 10:30am – 11:15am

Thursday, October 25th (Douglass-Truth Branch, Central District): 10:30am – 11:15am
